Gabriela Romero

Gaby began her career with First State Bank in 2006, as a part-time teller at the Gun Barrel City branch. Over the years, she has worked at the Malakoff and Athens locations where she held positions as a full-time Teller, Teller Supervisor, Call Center Representative, Credit Administrator, and Compliance Assistant.  In March of 2022, she was promoted to Assistant Vice President, Compliance Officer and in 2024 was promoted to Vice President, Training.

Gaby was raised in Mabank and graduated from Mabank High School in 2004.  She received an Associate’s degree from Trinity Valley Community College and a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University- Commerce. 

She lives in the Payne Springs/Eustace area with her husband, of 15 years, and their four children. In her spare time, Gaby enjoys crafting and baking, but her favorite thing to do, is spend time with family and make memories with her little ones.
