Kemmie Howell

Originally from New Mexico, Kemmie moved to Texas in 2001 as a retail manager.  With 13 years in customer service, she decided it was time for a change and came to join us at First State Bank.  Howell started her banking career in August of 2008 as a part time teller at the Malakoff location.  She quickly moved to be a Loan Administrative Assistant in May of 2009 with additional training as a Customer Service Representative.

Kemmie was promoted to Vice President / Loan Officer, where she served as our head lender at the Malakoff branch until March of 2024 when she became Vice President / Loan Operations Manager. Kemmie was promoted in March of 2025 to her current position of Senior Vice President, Credit Department Manager.

In her free time, Kemmie enjoys volunteering and serving on the Board of Directors at Faith In Action Outreach in Malakoff.

Kemmie also enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her husband and fur babies.
