Leah Kinney

Leah Kinney began her banking career before joining First State Bank in 2018, gaining experience in various roles. Over the years, she has held positions including Teller, Teller Supervisor, New Accounts Representative, Bookkeeping, eCommerce, Loan Processing, and most recently, BSA (Bank Secrecy Act) Assistant. Her dedication led to her promotion to Assistant Vice President, Assistant BSA Officer in March 2025.

A proud East Texas native, Leah graduated from Trinidad ISD in 2011. She went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in human resource development with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Tyler in 2016. Although she originally pursued a degree in HR, she quickly found her passion in banking, where she has continued to excel.

Leah is married to her high school sweetheart, Jordan, and together they share a home with their four beloved furbabies. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, photography, and cheering on her nephews at their various sporting events.
