Loretta Watson

Loretta Watson joined First State Bank in 2019 as Vice President, Loan Operations Manager and was then promoted to Senior Vice President of Loan Operations.  She started in banking 36 years ago as a part time employee in bookkeeping.  Loretta continued to work part time as a teller and in new accounts while she finished her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Tyler. After she graduated, her focus changed from bank operations to lending, where she has continued throughout her career. 

Over the years, she has been involved in several service organizations in Henderson County; she is currently a member of the Athens Noon Kiwanis Club and a member of the Living for the Brand Cowboy Church.  Loretta lives in Athens with her husband Tony, and her favorite thing is time spent with her family, grandchildren and camping with friends.
